Hello there, I’m Abby!

I’m an Art Lead and Junior Art Director located in Austin, TX, who loves cute things and ghost stories! With years in the mobile games industry, I’ve led cross-disciplinary teams to create promotional art, UI, and in-game assets enjoyed by millions of players worldwide. I have a passion for making art that feels polished, purposeful, and fun to experience in-game. I care about crafting work players love, but also about making the process better for the people creating it.

My leadership style blends clear creative direction with genuine collaboration—ensuring every asset looks beautiful, aligns with the product vision, and feels good to work on. I focus on building strong pipelines, keeping communication flowing between art, design, and engineering, and mentoring artists to grow their skills and confidence. I believe good leadership means listening well, giving clear direction, and making space for artists to shine.

The best part of my job is watching a project evolve—taking something from a rough start and working with the team to turn it into something we’re all proud of. For me, it’s not just about the final art, but the journey and teamwork that gets us there. When I’m not doing art, or playing video games, I’m outside exploring nature! Lovely to meet you!!

FAQs :>

What program do you use?

Lately I have been using Procreate more, I usually use Adobe Photoshop, but I feel as though I personally can get more of a traditional feel to my work in Procreate. :>

What brushes do you use?

In Procreate, I use a brush-pack called Rusty Nib Inkers, I really like the brush Sumi E Dry in there. It’s very much like the hard round brush, but with a little texture to the edge! :> Besides that, the hard round, air-brush, and spray-paint brushes are my main go-tos. :>

What is your digital painting process?

Normally, I do my sketch on a separate layer, then under it, I do my base-color shapes! I try to keep the color shapes tidy because I put layer masks on top of them. When I’m satisfied, I hit my layer mask for light source and another for shadows. Once the logistics are figured out, I create a new layer and start painting on top of all of it. :>
